The operation of the INTERCEPT® box is based on over 30 years patented INTERCEPT technology: the copper particles contained in the material bind corrosive gases permanently and produce quickly a neutralized atmosphere, coins and documents from tarnishing protects (Guaranteed Protection up to 15 years *). The effect was, inter alia, demonstrated by the proven standards DIN, EN, ISO and ASTM. To extend the duration of action of Intercept box via the 15 years to come, it is recommended to close the box immediately after use and avoid frequent opening.

* Under normal storage conditions the duration of action goes well beyond the specified 15 years out! Only at very unfavorable conditions (e.g., unusually high levels of air pollution or continuous opening of the capsules / boxes) it may happen that the capacity of the intercept material is depleted of the 15 years before the end. They recognize the deterioration of material efficiency in a dark gray to greenish discoloration of the film (not coins). In this case, you should replace the product with a new one.
